ACADEMIC OVERVIEW

At Channah Royal School, we understand that every child’s learning journey begins with care, patience, and love. Our programs are thoughtfully designed to support each stage of growth, ensuring children feel confident, valued, and excited to learn.

Our Creche (2–3 years) provides a gentle and nurturing introduction to school life. At this early stage, children are supported in speech development, social interaction, creative play, and outdoor activities that help them explore the world around them while building independence in a safe and caring environment.

The Kindergarten section (Reception, PP1 & PP2) focuses on laying strong foundations for lifelong learning. Through engaging language activities such as speaking, reading, and early writing, alongside mathematics, environmental awareness, hygiene practices, and creative and psychomotor activities, children develop confidence, curiosity, and a love for learning.

In the Lower School (Grades 1, 2 & 3), learners begin a more structured academic journey. With a strong focus on English and Kiswahili language development, mathematics, environmental studies, creative arts, and religious activities, children are guided to think, express themselves clearly, and grow in character and values.

The Upper School (Grades 4, 5 & 6) prepares learners for greater academic responsibility and independence. Through subjects such as English, Kiswahili, Mathematics, Science and Technology, Social Studies, Creative Arts, and Religious Activities, students are encouraged to develop critical thinking skills, confidence, and discipline as they prepare for the next stage of their education.

Beyond the classroom, we enrich learning through Information Technology (I.T), French, Pastoral Program of Instruction (PPI), and Swimming, ensuring every child receives a balanced education that nurtures both academic excellence and essential life skills.
